                        On not filtering your feedback and feature requests based on perceived difficulty, 60k new books on the filter menu, and an upcoming OFY update! 🤓

It's not about difficulty

You know the whole "don't ask, don't get" thing?

The same concept applies when you're an invested user of a hot, new books website. 😆

The product may be in beta now, but we have big dreams.

What you see today is not a reflection of the technical boundaries of the product, the limit of our technical capabilities, nor the scope of the vision.

Rather, the site is being built iteratively, heavily leaning on customer research and feedback.

So, if you don't share your wildest product dreams, no matter how infeasible they may seem to you, you don't give us a chance to build it for you. 🤓

Last week

We've been talking about this for months, but it has finally happened...

Now when you do a filter search on the main page, rather than searching through 5k books, you're being presented options from a pool of 60k books!  🥳

And that number is going to keep rising every day... 😎

This panel on the homepage is ALWAYS so wonderfully eclectic now. 😍

If you've used the filter menu in the last couple of days, did you notice anything? How does having all of these extra books available make you feel?

This week

The plan is for us to do a rerun of "Ordered for you" for all users at the beginning of every month.

Why? Well, you shouldn't have to update your preferences just to get some new recommendations! 😁

And now, with tens of thousands more new books on the scene (note: these aren't being taken into account for "Ordered for you" just yet), we hope that your Top Picks will become even better, and that a wider range of readers will have an excellent experience with this feature. 🤞🏾

What I'm reading right now

The opening section you just have to go with, but it's not long before you're like: "whoaaa, this is amazing!"

I'm about halfway through and can't wait to see where it goes!
