A mini-roadmap
What does the first version of giving The StoryGraph users a more personal experience look like?
Private Profiles
Some people just want to be able to use the site without anyone seeing what they're up to.
What's more personal than allowing a user to keep wholly to themselves? 😁
Following Users
"Hey!", I hear some of you say, "didn't you say you weren't doing any more social features?" 🤨
This won't be a social feature in the traditional sense — there are no follower numbers or notifications!
One of the main ways users discover books is via our News Feed:
By being able to follow others, we're giving users the ability to craft a News Feed filled only with people that have similar reading tastes to them or those whose reading lives they're curious to explore. 🤓
Ordering results
Right now, performing a filter search returns books in the order they were last updated.
However, some users are most concerned about length. What's the shortest book that fits my mood right now? (Y es, AN, that's a nod to you. 😏)
Others want to prioritise books published in the last month, staying up-to-date with new releases.
And some would love to know: out of all the funny books on the site, which of these will make me laugh the hardest?
Let's help you order the results by the dimension you care about the most! 😎
