                        Why the fact that we didn't have a big uptake of personal recommendation credits isn't concerning and before and after screenshots of the site!

How will you make money?

Well...that remains to be seen. 😅

Only one person took up the personal recommendation offer from last week's newsletter. 😬

Really, though — I'm not worried. It's still too early to tell.

Maybe personal recommendations won't be our moneymaker, but perhaps the offering isn't being marketed effectively, or isn't priced correctly, or hasn't been put in front of the right people.

On the other hand, some say that 7 customers from an audience of a few hundred is a pretty good conversion rate.

Anyway, this is all part of the fun: putting something out there, seeing how people respond, and iterating.

Last week

Last week was spent revamping the site — moving things around to enhance the user experience and updating the design to improve the look, feel, and accessibility.

This week

The design work still isn't done, so that remains the focus.

In the meantime, the new personal recommendation customers will begin using the service and I'll be holding my end-of-month 1:1 check-ins with the Editors.

These conversations will help me figure out product priorities for the final month of the paid trial.

What I'm reading right now 

I found a pristine copy of this in a charity book sale last year.

The beginning was magical and emotional. Two-thirds in I feel it's dipped a little, but I'm optimistic.
