We're ready!

It's been a tough run, but it looks like we're gonna make it. 😅

We have all the features needed to enable anyone to give The StoryGraph a good go in 2020.

This includes:
  • The ability to import your Goodreads data
  • Year-to-date stats, and
  • Reading goals and reading challenges.

Great work on meeting your goal, Ryan!

And, the ability to automatically import any books not on the site means that we can handle hundreds more of you trying it out. 😍

2020 is going to be a definitive year for The StoryGraph.

Will we find product/market fit?

Will we find a scalable business model?

We hope you'll stick around to find out! 😁
Last week

I had a bunch of 1:1 calls with the Editors and I was delighted to discover that a few of them will be giving up Goodreads going into the New Year.

I always thought that The StoryGraph could become a compelling alternative but didn't think that would be true for some so early on.

If you identify as a mood reader and you’re excited by the vision of the site, please do consider signing up to the Jan-March Editors testing programme.

You get a personal book recommendation each month and the chance to shape the roadmap of the site.

And you get a cool badge on your profile page. 😏

Send us an email if you want to learn more.
This week

It'll mainly be a lot of crossed fingers that everything works once Jan 1st hits. 🤞🏾

And if not, then there may be some firefighting. 😬
What I'm reading right now

Unsurprisingly, I didn't find time to finish my reread of The Secret History.

I figured I'd share a blog post I published about this time last year instead:

Stay tuned for a link to my 2019 edition next week! 🤓

Have a great week and a Happy New Year. Thank you so much for reading along and supporting me in this startup journey,

Nadia

P.S. If you know a friend who's an avid mood reader or would enjoy following along with this journey, please do forward this email to them! Thank you. :-)
