Three Weeks To Go

There are a few weeks left of 2019, which means I don't have much time to get in the features that I think will round out The StoryGraph Beta app's user experience:

1. When the New Year rolls around, people love to set reading goals and take part in reading challenges. I really want them to be able to track 2020 ones in The StoryGraph.

2. Despite a growing community, there's still no way to interact on the site. I'd love to provide a way for users to read books alongside one another and then discuss them.

3. The computer brain that F is developing, and Abbie is training, is getting smarter:

I want to start using it on the site behind the scenes. 😎

That's a lot I wanna get done before January 1st, right? 😅

Last week

We now have yearly stats! 🎉

Back when I thought I read loads and Matt Clifford shattered that illusion.

For most users, stats on the site won't be so accurate, but they now have the option to adjust the date a book was read and add rereads:

Apart from that, we fulfilled 4 personal recommendation requests for Editors, I had a catch-up call with the StoryGraph Librarians, and I personally somehow found time to have dinner with my siblings, have a couple lunches with friends, go on two dates, and go to a gig Saturday night. 😅

This week

Can you guess what the features I delivered last week are gearing up to?

Yup, that's correct: setting a 2020 reading goal! 🤓

What I'm reading right now 

Didn't read as much as I wanted to last week so still on this one:

Harper Lee writes the child characters very well and I'm enjoying the dark, tense atmosphere that's slowly built up.
