The 'real' Lighthearted plan

As the number of books on the site increases, so does the likelihood that you're going to see books that you're just not interested in.

Perhaps the StoryGraph Editors paid testers plan isn't for you, but maybe you would quite like the ability to say: 'please don't show me this book or author ever again'.

And hopefully information from the use of this feature will eventually power better recommendations!



So, I'm going to float a new lower tier plan:

For £1.50/$1.80 per month (that's a 50% discount for you beta testers), you'll have the ability to personalise the filter results and, before the end of the year, you'll get access to a couple extra search and filtering options. You'll also be able to give your input as to what these new features are.

If at least 10 of you are interested in this, I'll dedicate some time this week to making that account upgrade possible.

This week

I was hoping to get further on the performance stuff last week but time ran away from me...

However, I did conduct a successful investigation. 

Visit beta.thestorygraph.com in a private browser window and the site is pretty fast.

Log in, and loading times quadruple in some cases! 😱

I think I know what's gone wrong and I hope fixing it doesn't take too long. 🤞🏾

Also, I have to take my Mac to the Apple Store for a service. I'm a bit anxious because it's been acting up lately and it's the only computer I have... 😬
