Because life's too short for a book you're not in the mood for.
Am I right? I hope so! Since at the heart of The StoryGraph is a tool that helps you to find new books that fit your mood, on any topic or theme that you're interested in.
What happened to tracking and sharing reading lists?
Turns out you all weren't that excited about an app that did just that.
My research revealed that the number one pain point among avid readers was not having one place for personalised and trusted reviews and recommendations.
The ability to create and track reading lists will most likely be featured in the product at some point — but they'll be a side show, instead of the main event.
What are you doing right now?
I've got a lot of ideas and a grand vision, but I need to find out sooner rather than later if I can build a viable business out of this.
Will people actually use it?
After 5 months of customer research and Alpha testing, I'm taking a couple of months to focus on building a Beta product.
How can I help?
Please forward this email to a friend who reads who'd be interested in following this journey.
I don't know where The StoryGraph will end up but I'm excited to share it with you.
Thank you all so much for your support and time so far.
