🌠Athena Crisis Post-Launch Update
Launching video games is fun! It’s even more fun to iteratively improve and build something great together with the community.
Invasions have been a great way to keep players engaged. Check out this video about how a 1v1 single-player game turned into Chaos across 6 people:
What did we do since launch?
In the past two weeks since launch we focused on quality-of-life improvements requested by the community, bug fixes, and balancing to improve the overall experience:
Campaign difficulty can now be adjusted anytime in between maps. Adjusted the difficulty of various campaign maps.
Added “click+shift” to move and complete a unit with one interaction.
You can now give up in PvP games.
The primary faction of a campaign can now be selected, so you can play against Pink Atlas for the first time.
Barracks received a design update.
Tutorial games are now persisted.
A “meta” quickly developed where Rocket Launchers being dropped from Jeeps were devastating. We quickly rebalanced it by adding a new “Heavy Equipment” skill that makes Rocket Launchers unable to act after being dropped.
As always, you can see the detailed list of updates in the #news channel.

Interviews
Game Rant published a two-part interview about development of Athena Crisis. Check out part 1 and part 2.
What’s Next?
There is still so much to build and more content to add! This month we’ll add more ways to gain stars, and more unlockables like skills and unit customizations in the shop to use those stars on. Invasions will be the second focus areas where we’ll add more ways to have fun. We can’t wait to show you!
In November we’ll go back to our cadence of monthly email updates.
