You ever mean to reach out to someone about something specific, then you procrastinate, and you hem, you haw, and by the time you get around to actually doing something, you realize it’s been far too long and to reach out now about the thing you were going to reach out about would, at that point, be kind of weird?
Yeah, me either.
Had this email come out earlier in the year like I intended, I might have hit you with the old 2024 Review and 2025 Look Ahead. A classic newsletter tactic around the holiday season.
I might have told you about the 24 titles I published in 2024. Or how, since the numbers line up so perfectly, that the goal for 2025 is to do one better: 25 in ’25.
I might have even said spoke of the upgrades I hope you’ll be able to see as 2025 progresses (besides just more stories). Like a Niz Thomas Store where you can buy my books direct, as well as some merchandise and other “cool stuff.”

And maybe—just maybe, if you caught me on a rare day where I felt like sharing—I would have at least hinted about a new project I’m working on this year that will give newsletter subscribers exclusive early access to some of my stories before they come out to the general public.
But since it’s March, I guess we can just skip over all that stuff.
Instead, as a way to apologize for my absence here, I thought I’d give away three things.
