Yet Another Newsletter LOL: Maya who?
The newsletter is a little shorter this week, but regarldess, another week, another newsletter. Let’s get to it!
Around the Web
Sandpack from the CodeSandbox team looks amazing. I’m definitely going to be trying this out.
If you have access to GitHub copilot, this feature looks pretty dope.
ok so this new experimental github copilot feature where you select a code fragment and ask it to explain it to you in plain language is killer https://t.co/BHkGe5Pp3r pic.twitter.com/Gg7RUjMtdR

And there’s other cool functionality that will be available via GitHub Copilot Labs.
I’ve been curious about web3 and have been building out projects on Buildspace. It’s a lot of fun and it’s been great learning some new things. That said, it can definitely get spicy on Twitter when folks talk about it. Josh, comes in with a cool level headed take which I thought was great.
I feel like there’s a lot of hype about web3 on Twitter, and it might give folks the impression that they need to switch gears and start learning this stuff if they want to stay relevant.

I wanna push back on this a bit. I think you’ll be just fine if you ignore the web3 hype.
Not tech-specific, but taking care of your body is super important. Full disclosure that I am not a certified personal trainer, so I am not allowed to give personal training advice, but as an ex-university athlete, I can definitely tell you that stretching is key.
Lack of flexibility brings on all kinds of injuries potentially and when we’re all at our desks for most of the day, it’s even more important. Here are some good ones to get you started, but consider speaking to a trainer if you’re looking to get serious about a training regime, including stretching.
Also for all the tough folks out there, being more flexible is beneficial to strength training and muscle development as the muscles become more elongated. 💪🏻

Shameless plugs
We had the final DEV Twitch stream of the year. We had some good times hanging out with Gift Egwuenu. Gift joined us to talk about learning in public, creating content, burnout, moving to and working in a new country, and more!
Thanks again for joining us Gift!
Not a shameless plug, more of a fun thing I did for the second year in a row. Building an ice rink in my backyard!
And so it begins. #backyardrinks https://t.co/hely6eWWww

And the finished product getting filled with water.
And the filling of the great ice rink begins.
