Truth and Reconciliation through storytelling

Aaniin News River readers! A big part of the work we do supports efforts to heal and lift up the Survivors of the residential school system by uncovering the Truth of what happened and working to heal through Reconciliation.
We are always excited to support others with the same mission, like journalist Connie Walker from Okanese First Nation who just won a Pulitzer Prize and a Peabody Award for her podcast Stolen: Surviving St. Michael’s. The podcast tells the story of her father’s residential school experience.
🚀 Launch Zone 🚀
We are so excited to launch the website for Bones of Crows! Premiering on June 2 in Canadian theatres, Bones of Crows tells the story of Cree Matriarch Aline Spears as she survives a childhood in Canada’s residential school system to continue her family’s generational fight in the face of systemic abuse.
Keep an eye out for Bones of Crows: The Series, which will be released as a five-part expansion to the film version.
After working with Screen Siren Pictures on another film, Indian Horse, we were so grateful to be a part of another impactful story.
