Indigenous Innovation: Language Apps & Digital Storytelling Making News

Boozhoo News River readers,
Indigenous language and technology initiatives are making waves across Turtle Island this week. From new apps to digital storytelling workshops, communities are finding innovative ways to preserve and share their cultures. • Social enterprise Pinnguaq launches downloadable app for learning Inuinnaqtun • Youth and elders collaborate on digital stories in Whitehorse • First Nations elder demonstrates tools in Langley workshop
We're thrilled to have built the bilingual website for the Nunavut Association of Non-Profit Organizations (NANPO). We crafted the site in both Inuktitut and English. The dual-language platform offers resources, news, and support for non-profits across Nunavut. By providing content in both languages, we ensure all Nunavummiut can access vital information. We're proud that our work reflects Nunavut's linguistic landscape and helps strengthen community bonds to their non profit organizations.
We’re grateful to have our headquarters on traditional territory of the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Lkwungen, Songhees and Esquimalt) Peoples of the Coast Salish Nation.
