South Island Indigenous Business Directory

We are excited to announce the launch of a directory of self-identified Indigenous businesses in the South Vancouver Island region.

Launched just last week, the directory is a comprehensive listing of Indigenous businesses flourishing in the southern region of Vancouver Island. This initiative is a result of a collaborative endeavour between Animikii, the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority (GVHA), South Island Prosperity Partnership, the City of Victoria, The Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce, and the Capital Regional District.The website showcases a large variety of Indigenous professionals and businesses in the area where our head office is located.

Upcoming Indigenous Data Sovereignty Event

Animikii’s Jeff Doctor and Jeff Ward will be participating in a panel for What you really need to know: A data management conversation from the Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee Data Management on Friday, June 16. This event is free to join on Zoom, where viewers can hear about the latest in IDS in the Arctic research context.
