Celebrating Indigenous Innovation Across Turtle Island

Boozhoo News River readers,
This week, we read a recap from the MIT Solve 2024 Indigenous Innovators Summit in Tucson, Arizona where our CEO Jeff Ward visited to moderate a panel on relationship building, partnerships, and grant-making in Indigenous communities.
In other Indigenous tech news, Indigenous AI ethicist Michael Running Wolf chats with Dropbox about using AI for language revitalization, and Diné TikToker Charlie Amáyá Scott pens an article for Yes Magazine about digital storytelling.
🛫 Animikii at Res 2024 🛬 Several Animikii team members are in Las Vegas this week for Res (Reservation Economic Summit) 2024, an event put on by The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (NCAIED). Taking part in the event this week? Find us at Booth 322 where we're showcasing how we empower Indigenous Digital Sovereignty using our product, Niiwin.
🎉 Launch Zone: Pamihtâw Consulting 🎉 Our website team recently completed work on Pamihtâw Consulting, an Indigenous-owned and operated consulting firm supporting economic growth, social impact, and cultural awareness. In Woodland Cree/Nehiyaw, Pamihtâw translates to “she/he/they take care of, look after, attend to, tends, drive, manage s.t. (e.g. a business).”
We’re grateful to have our headquarters on traditional territory of the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Lkwungen, Songhees and Esquimalt) Peoples of the Coast Salish Nation.
