Animikii turns 20!

Web Version

Boozhoo News River readers,

It’s “wheels up” for many members of the Animikii team lately. CEO Jeff Ward recently returned from San Francisco for the SOCAP Global Conference where he was one of many social impact leaders featured on the mainstage.

For the first time as a 30+ person team, Animikii is holding an in-person retreat on lək̓ʷəŋən territory in Victoria this week. Stay tuned for updates on our activities as we make the most of valuable in-person connections.

Happy Birthday Animikii!

Earlier this week, we celebrated 20 years of Animikii as a team on traditional lək̓ʷəŋən territory.

As we celebrate this milestone, we look back on what we've built together—from being Canada's first Indigenous B Corp to the incredible evolution of Niiwin, our empowerment tool for Indigenous Peoples.

Through all this, the Anishinaabe Seven Sacred Teachings have been our compass. Today’s celebration is thanks to all the partners, and communities who've been integral to our first generation. We're excited and humbled for what the next six generations will bring.

Want to learn more about our journey? Read our article called Celebrating Generation One, where we share 20 memories from Animikii's first 20 years.
