A big day for Indigenous and impact investment

Web Version

Hey there News River readers,

We are so excited to showcase several stories of Indigenous women making headlines by offering traditional birth knowledge training, and a project calling for a redesign of the Canadian $20 bill to include an Indigenous woman.

We also saw a trio of articles from the Narwhal:

  • Blueberry River First Nations beat B.C. in court. Now everything’s changing
  • Some feared the Gitanyow’s plan would hurt forestry. But land is protected — and industry is thriving
  • ‘Rarest of the rare’: B.C’s newest conservancy protects globally imperilled rainforest

In ecosystem news, we are proud to announce that Animikii's initial investor Raven Indigenous Capital Partners has announced the final closing of its $100 million CAD second fund, topping its initial target of $75 million.

This is HUGE news positive state and growth of the Indigenous economy and Impact investing made to generate positive social and environmental impact.

Congratulations to Raven Indigenous Capital Partners!
