Weekend Radar: Privacy Tools for a Surveillance World
WEEKEND THOUGHT
We spent all year feeding data to AI. This weekend, we take some control back. Before 2026 starts, I am performing a "Digital Hard Reset." In a world where data is the new oil, your privacy is your only defense. Here is the stack I use to secure my perimeter.
THE WEEKEND RADAR (The Privacy Stack)
- Proton Mail/Pass - The Vault. Stop using Gmail for sensitive data. Proton is encrypted in Switzerland. If you don't pay for the product, you are the product.
- Signal - The Channel. WhatsApp and Messenger are listening (meta-data). Move your "Circle of Trust" (closest friends/family) to Signal. Disappearing messages are a feature, not a bug.
- Brave Browser - The Shield. Chrome is a tracking device disguised as a browser. Brave blocks trackers by default and runs on the same engine (Chromium), so your extensions still work.

THE QUESTION
When was the last time you changed your main password?
