Solving Star Trek's Time Travel Problem
Star Trek has a massive time travel problem. Across 60+ episodes and films, time travel forms the main through-line of the plot. And yet, not a scrap of it makes any iota of sense. It is a gigantic mess. I call it the "spaghetti problem."
So, I've been working away at it over the last tens years. And I've come up with a Unified Time Travel Theory for the Star Trek multiverse, which has eight rules. It works to link together most of the temporal shenanigans Trek has produced! But the most interesting part is that when you put the eight rules together, a cosmological map of the Trek multiverse starts to reveal itself.
