Meeting Program: The Search is on... but what do you do after you get it?
Seeking new items for our magic collections is a never-ending quest. For this meeting, a panel of expert collectors will discuss their experiences in finding items and managing their collection.  The panel includes:
David Haversat - Searching and finding the papers of Dr. Elliot, and the second Houdin Crystal Casket.  A long term investment in tenacity.
Ray Ricard - Going after and finding elusive rare books.
Steve Rogers & Robert Olson - Searching newspapers and online sites.
Ray Goulet - Creating your own electronic collection catalog.
Ray Ricard - Using your smart phone to carry your collection with you.
Robert Olson - Online searching using eBay and magic auction sites
Members are asked to share information on some of their successful, and perhaps not-so-successful, finds.
Please bring your new acquisitions and show-and-tell items.

Meet our newest members!

Larry Stangel was born and raised in Quincy, MA and currently resides in North Smithfield RI. He became interested in magic at the age of 12  and is now a part-time professional  performing 30-40 shows each year. His collecting interest is primarily books though he also has a passion for Fred Kaps items.

Bill Prindle’s interest in magic was reawakened about six years ago with a visit to Hank Lee's Magic Factory. Through Bob Riordan, Bill learned about magic collecting and, although Bill’s collecting has been relatively limited, his interest in magic history, magicians, tricks, and illusions has grown.  Bill works professionally as a marketing consultant, writes short stories, and is working on a novel.
At the March meeting an honorary membership was bestowed on Ann Goulet for her many years of support to the club. Although Ann is quick to suggest that she is only supporting husband Ray and his collecting passion, the club is grateful for her generous assistance.

Yankee Gathering XV
The 15th Yankee Gathering will be held in Westborough, Massachusetts on November 6, 7 and 8, 2014. It is our hope that you will be able to join us in honoring George and Sandy Daily and make this another truly special Yankee Gathering.
Registration is $225 per person before August 1st, and $250 per person after August 1st.  To register, print the registration form and follow the instructions. 

Every previous Yankee Gatherings has sold out.  Seating will be limited so plan to register early!

New Yankee Gathering XIII videos are now available at NEMCA.com/videos. Enjoy lectures and performances from William Rauscher, Bill Spooner, Dean Arnold and others.
