David Bull, who played the role of Le Grand David, will talk about the company’s history and the remarkable man, Cesareo Pelaez (1932 - 2012), who created it and served as its lifetime director.

For over 35 years — February 20, 1977 until May 28, 2012 — Marco the Magi’s production of Le Grand David and his own Spectacular Magic Company performed over 2,600 shows at their two restored vaudeville theatres in Beverly, Mass.

Presented in the style of the great touring stage magic companies of the first half of the 20th century, this one-of-a-kind theatrical ensemble elevated the art of illusion on a sweeping scale.
