After a review by the Nomination Committee, the following is our slate of nominees for the 2021-2023 term:
President - Jim Zoldak - Massachusetts
Jim has been associated with NEMCA for over 30 years through his longtime friendship with Ray Goulet. He has officially been a member of NEMCA for the last seven years since his return to New England. He has served as Dealer Room and Exhibit Room Manager for two Yankee Gatherings. He has also served on the NEMCA Board as Program Coordinator and 2nd Vice President. Most recently he worked with David Hill to set up and oversee the technical aspects of the virtual Yankee Gathering 2020.
1st Vice President - Michael Mayo - Massachusetts
Mike has been a member of NEMCA for 3 years. He was introduced to the organization, as many of us were, by Ray Goulet. He has been serving as the administrator of the Association’s social media presence by creating and maintaining a NEMCA Facebook page as well as promoting NEMCA on various other sites. Mike was on the convention committee for last year’s virtual Yankee Gathering 2020 and coordinated the advertising campaigns leading up to the Gathering. He is looking forward to being a part of the growth and innovation of NEMCA going into the future.
2nd Vice President - Dan Sclare – Connecticut
Dan, a Connecticut resident, has been a longtime member of SAM Assembly 21 and the Central Connecticut Magicians Association. Dan has served as President, Vice President, Treasurer and Historian in these organizations. He has been a member of NEMCA for 2 years. Most recently, Dan served as Conference Registrar for the virtual Yankee Gathering 2020.
Treasurer - Steve Lerner – Massachusetts
Steve is a retired CPA and has been a NEMCA member since 2005. He was appointed NEMCA Treasurer in 2017 and set up computerized Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Budgeting systems for the organization. In addition, he successfully applied for and attained 501(c) 3 charitable, non-profit status for NEMCA from the IRS. Steve has served as the Conference Treasurer for two Yankee Gatherings.
Secretary/Business Manager - Scott Martell – Massachusetts
Scott has been a member of NEMCA for 7 years. He has served as Secretary for the past 2 terms as well as Business Manager for the last 2 years. Most recently, he served as a member of the conference committee for the planning and presentation of Yankee Gathering 2020. He enjoys collecting books on magic history and performs in his spare time.
