Do me a favor? + holiday updates
Short and quick this week so you can make the most of your time off if that’s what you’ve got. Up ahead:

A small favor…
I posted this about “small business Saturday,” and idk about you but I’m tired of being yelled at to buy things. That’s tricky, as a person who…is selling things that people can buy and whose financial well-being is somewhat predicated on that. BUT!
I really believe we can resist just doing “capitalism but slightly better and shinier and more ethical™” and one way to do that is to actually build commerce and market relationships. Buy from people, and support those people, rather than just buying to buy.
On that note, I have a favor to ask: if you’ve worked with me — whether that’s on handstands or acro or in a political training capacity — it would mean a lot to me if you were able to send your friends/family over as referrals OR offer a testimonial to let others know about your experience. I’d like to re-share these, but you’re also welcome to share your shout-outs too. Either way, I’d really appreciate it 🙏
Holiday Guides 🎁
I sent out a special mid-week edition email to all of you with a link to get the 2025 Holiday Guide Bundle that can help you stay in tough political conversations with folks you encounter all throughout this holiday season and the end of the year. If you missed it, here’s that link again, or you can check out the full site with all the guides and explainers, and share it with friends and family.
End of the year!
Classes and private sessions for physical training are still available through the end of the year, and stay tuned for some upcoming announcements about how to get your momentum again in 2026.
I also still have time available if you’re needing some last-minute political peer mentorship or couples/group work in this tricky season. Again, more coming soon on opportunities to (re)engage in 2026, so keep an eye out 👀

Keeping it short this week because honestly, good for you for staying off the internet.
stuff you maybe missed
Measles is surging, and that’s more dangerous than just measles itself. Make sure you and everyone you love gets the vaccines they need, but also fight casual anti-vax sentiment and vaccine misinformation. Because our lives do literally depend on it.
My former employer is among the worst (morally) in higher education, which is saying a lot for a dying set of institutions that are only nominally in education and predominantly in the practice of being hedge funds. Who knew boots were so delicious? I had some words about it.
DHS forever saying the quiet part out loud.
I refuse to link to Truth Social but it shouldn’t surprise you to learn that white supremacist shit is going on over there from the highest rungs, too.
I will keep saying it for the people in the back but, laws aren’t real
If you, like many, are having trouble keeping track of everything Trump does that should be concerning… you’re welcome?
James Stout wrote a short but good impromptu piece about ICE apologism and Mamdani. If you don’t subscribe to his patreon, here’s the gist:

good stuff
If you know me, you know that this sounds like my nightmare, BUT — science is still very cool!
There’s now a website where you can stay up to date on developments and support Des Revol
Sometimes you have to wait years but people do get their comeuppance
That’s all — get some rest and stay warm!
In solidarity,
