SNMPv2c is broadcasting your credentials in plaintext. This guide walks through configuring SNMPv3 with authPriv on Cisco IOS-XE—HMAC-SHA authentication, AES-128 encryption, MIB views, and ACL-restricted access. Then we set up LibreNMS with Docker for auto-discovery and connect it to Grafana for interface utilization dashboards, BGP neighbor state panels, and CPU/memory alerting.

Includes real IOS-XE CLI output, troubleshooting for engine ID mismatches, and a working InfluxDB integration for Grafana queries.
