Forest Garden Livestream

Wednesday 21st October, 10am BST

My Dirty Secret

I just realised that I’ve been running the Forest Garden Livestream every Wednesday at 10am since the first lockdown. That’s 7 months, or about 28 hours of livestreaming. This time round, I’m lucky to have a couple of design jobs, so I am going to kick back on the livestream front and treat it more like Scruffbag Reality Forest Garden and less like Polished Forest Garden Roadshow.

And my dirty secret? Well, with all this livestreaming, course making and forest garden designing, our own forest garden is getting rather neglected.

So, this week I will mostly be deturfing and chatting to the camera. Nothing scripted, no great plan, no big reveal.

Ivy. I have lots of ivy, in all the wrong places. Good for wildlife.

Dan Jaffe on Growing Greener

Tom Christopher’s Growing Greener is an excellent podcast. Although it’s USA-centric, it’s still has lots of valuable insights and interesting people. Dan Jaffe’s appearance was brilliant, as it brings together native plants and the idea of an edible landscape (without mentioning the ForestGarden word!). Well worth a listen.

Free online mini-course!

As well as the full online course The Backyard Forest, I also have a free mini-course Plan a Backyard Forest as well. I’m a bit woodentop but it still packs lots of info.
