A forest garden is also just a name; there are many people who garden in a environmentally sensitive and integrated way without calling it forest gardening. Malcolm Berry, aka The Dreaded Gardener, is one shining example. I remember well a talk he gave to a local gardening club, and I asked him what his favourite wildlife plant was. Well, all of them, of course. | And this is why a forest garden works, because it works as an ecosystem. You can’t isolate one part, it has to be all together now. | Apologies for late delivery of the newsletter. In today’s livestream I’ll be looking at my current projects, where I’m trying to integrate ornamental, native and edible gardening, in a domestic patio setting and on a eco-housing development. | | Some sort of dandelion, fulfilling all its ecological functions with ease | | Livestream | | Zoom Q&A | Zoom link Time: 10.30—11:00am Zoom password: chuckle

I feel the course would benefit from practical assignments and quizzes, the gamification of forest gardening, to encourage greater engagement. | | | Share | | | Forward |
