Unique Perspectives and Centering a Div
Hey folks,
Hope you're having a glorious week already!
Thinking Too Hard
Last week I was asked to summarize my experience creating a webinar. Thinking about it, we often only see the final, polished product of something and think: "Oh man, they're just great at X..." But what you don't see are things like:
- I didn't do it alone. Over a dozen people (literally) helped me, encouraged me, and nurtured your ideas. Find people invest in you like this.
- I went through over 8 practice runs of the webinar, and two people sat through and helped me streamline it at different times. Keep polishing and refining and don't be afraid to shave parts off.
- I wrote a word-for-word script to help make sure I wouldn't get stuck or lost for words at any point. If you can read, you can present, yo.
I used to think that no one would care what I had to say, that it was just another voice. But I grew to realize that EVERYONE has a perspective that is completely unique to them. YOUR voice is valuable, YOU opinions are valuable, and no one will hear them unless they're spoken (or written). We need more voices and more perspectives. We ALL win that way.
