Planner Meetings and Beautifully Ugly Logos
In which I geek out about stationery and enjoy some ugly logo ideas.
Hey friends,
Sad day, the Olympics have concluded. I have another 2 years before another buffet of hyper-specific sports events!
Words I Wrote ✍️
I've recently been geeking out about stationery, and have performed my very first techo kaigi.

... luxurious.
Interesting Web Bits 🍜
Web Stuff
- There was an unofficial logo proposal for HTML and it's majestic in both it's ugliness and accuracy.
- The Ladybird browser abandons Swift.
- If you didn't hear about curl closing it's bug bounty because of AI contributions it sounds pretty bad out there right now for open-source maintainers (given that it was already pretty bad BEFORE AI... 😬). Github is trying a few things to help out.
- Richard Rutter gives us a comprehensive guide to styling lists.
- An interesting challenge, how do you scroll a table with b-b-billions of rows?
Other Stuff
- Johnny Birch thinks post-Figma design will be in code with Agents. This feels like a step towards a Great Design Bland-ening, much like every high-school essay ChatGPT spits out these days...
- Remember Dark Sky? Well, the team is back together to build another weather app.
Weird, Watch, and Play
- 📺 What happens when you throw boiled water outside in -41°C weather?
- 📺 How do bugs really see? (Spoiler: it's not thousands of repeated images!)
