Kobitos and JavaScript Mazes

Just take a look at this little guy:
He's a こびと (kobito) which very roughly translates as 'forest dwarf'. They're from a Japanese kids book by Nabata Toshitaka called Kobito Zukan (Forest Dwarf Encyclopedia) that imagines a world full of little hidden people that are responsible for all sort of mundane things from making dorians smell or eating fuzzballs in your closet.
I absolutely love how strange and specific these kobitos are. They're marvelously creative even if some of them are rather unsettling.
