Connections and Zip Bombs

Hey friends,

Whatโ€™s worse than raining cats & dogs?

Thinking Too Hard ๐Ÿค”

This week is Viget Week, which means we're ALL in the same physical space! I haven't been in a full office since... before the pandemic.

When was the last time someone walked up to you to talk rather than sending you a Slack/Teams/Whatever message?

Remote work is rewarding in it's flexibility and singularity of focus, but sometimes it can feel like:

Sad Pablo Escabar thinking about code

I am intensely introverted. I tend to run out of energy very quickly in large social settings but I have learned to put some of that aside because CONNECTIONS are incredibly important. You can never engage someone remotely as well as you can in-person, and that engagement leads to shared moments that make every interaction afterwards easier. Show me a team with inside jokes, and I'll show you a cohesive group whose unity pushes the intangible parts of this work forward.

I'm grateful Viget gives us this opportunity, but if you're feeling like me, maybe reach out to just ONE person today. Just one. And genuinely ask what's going on with them.
