And so passed the time given to you (come here me speak!)
Hola, amigos,
I know it's been a minute since I rapped at ya but I've been busy staring in horror, deleting work emails, and trying to remember how it felt to have interiority. Anywho, I wanted to let you know I'm speaking for about five minutes (literally only five minutes, this is not my characteristic wit speaking - a reasonable mistake on your part, don't feel bad, not about this anyway) at an event on the edited collection on Marxist accounts of the state that my social murder chapter appears in. The other contributors are all real smart and there looks to be a decent length Q and A which is where the real magic happens. It's at 2pm New York time on Saturday, December 16th and goes until 4:00. Come along, mention my newsletter and you'll get free blank stares from everyone else and my customary stammer of embarrassment - it is such a horror to be perceived.
The details are at this link: https://marxedproject.org/event/marxism-and-the-capitalist-state/
Registration's free (though you can certainly donate to the hosting organization, the Marxist Education Project, if you support Marxists, Education, or Projects). I think you do have to register in advance to get the zoom link. Oh, I nearly forgot: if you have library access and can request yr library buy a copy, please, I'd appreciate it. (We've got to corrupt the youth SOMEhow.) The book's here: https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-031-36167-8
Thank you my friends, you are the number three reason I do what I do! And an even bigger thank you to my many enemies, you are the number two reason I do what I do!
Keep on trucking,
Nate
ps- reason number one is a vague and often mumbled mix of the compulsion to sell my labor power and the need to re-enchant my corner of a fallen world ie being a nerd who enjoys getting in the zone. You probly knew that already, because readers of this newsletter are insightful knowers of things. You probly knew that already too, because readers of this newsletter are insightful knowers of things.
