To Everything There is a Season
A time to rest, a time to lose consh
Matt’s enjoyable Nap Aids series is a reminder that for each type of nap you want to have, there is likely a spot that aligns perfectly to complement the experience. In reverse, there are different types of naps that you can take. I’ve been on a little bit of a hot streak recently and snagging naps most days. But they’ve been a potpourri of different styles and intentions. To wit:

Friday: Beach nap / Late Afternoon
Normally I’m not able to stick the landing on a beach nap. It’s a difficult execution without the aid of drinks or a hangover. Simply going to the beach and letting the nap happen hasn’t been fertile ground for me. And yet, with the benefit of time late Friday afternoon, I walked out, dropped my beach chair, sat down, set myself on a podcast, and gave it a shot. Not sure I fully lost consh, but there are gaps in what I remember from the pod, so something happened. P.S. I did not come away looking like a lobster. Score. P.P.S the SLF astutely reminded me that there are benefits to attempting the nap even without achieving lost consh. Someone’s been reading. Nice job SLF!!
Saturday: Couch nap / Early Afternoon
This is a pretty typical nap for a day of rest. Early morning, big lunch, and enjoyed a peaceful house to hit the couch.
Sunday
No Nap. Sunday Funday strikes again. Full Focus and attention on Mommy. Happy Mother’s Day!
