Out of the mouth of babes
Our entire brood enjoyed The President’s post yesterday. It caused a lot of text traffic on the family chain. We were amazed that he could keep it to under 250 words; we applaud the discipline and hope the brevity will carry over into his texts and emails.
It also caused my sister to comment on one of my old posts. Thanks for reading! Her comment was: I’ve been waking up early to workout daily for almost a decade. The bed always calls me back but I’ve found that naps are much more rewarding after the workout. You can have both!
It got me thinking about a recent conversation that I had with my Special Lady Friend.
I wake up early; it’s what I do. Mainly, I get anxious about missing the day. Or sometimes, like last week, I just want to take my son to see the sunrise on the beach. And it was a beauty for sure.
Speaking of beauties, the SLF recently said, “Maybe you need a nap because you wake up so early.” My response was: “I wake up early because I know I’ll get a nap. If I wake up two hours before everybody else, and take a half hour nap later to reset and energize, I added an hour and a half to my day with no less rest.”
Yes, sis, if you will it, it is no dream. You can have it all.
