Napping Pranks
Don’t sleep on the WNBA
Happy BSF! Wanted to briefly highlight this story, which you likely have seen, where a well-known YouTube prankster was banned from all NBA events for pretending to nap courtside, in full sleep regalia, at a WNBA game.
He was kicked out of another recent WNBA game for taking a jumpshot — a heat check, he said (and an airball, I might add) — and received attention last year for getting his hair cut at an NBA game. I think it’s the culmination of these events that got him banned.
He’s talked about how he “almost p**sied out” of the prank, but if you ask me, he p**sied in. Some have labeled him a misogynist, and I can’t help but wonder whether he’d have pulled the napping stunt at an NBA game — as the father of two strong girls, I guess I’m saying I think he’s a p**sy.
I also take offense to his abusing and desecrating the idea of napping cheat codes, which we take seriously. While we’ve already established that sporting events can be a NCC for fans, I don’t think that’s what JiDion was going for here — he mocked the nap, and to quote the great Norm Macdonald (and our own Henrietta), it’s the lack of respect, that’s what hurts the most.
Shots fired! Come at me, bro.
