Napping in India
Another blogger we now love!
Here at TND, we go international from time to time, including Evan’s Worldly Napservations series and Hen’s series on his recent trip to Israel (TBC tomorrow — continued or concluded? We shall see!). We also have been known to find other bloggers we like, often for their napping-related content. Today, these proclivities collide as we pick up coverage from ED Times, an India-based youth media publication, purportedly “Google News funded” and “the No. 1 Source For In-depth News Stories That Matter To Millennials.”

Katyayani Joshi describes herself as a dedicated media student driven by honesty and passion. In “Why I Can’t Do Without My Afternoon Naps?” she recognizes the joy and critical importance of napping, describing her afternoon naps as “the most relaxing break between a tiring day in college and assignments in the evening.” After a long day of course work, she naps to regain focus and nurture a fresh state of mind. As a student, she benefits from improved mental powers of memorization and information retention.
Given how her many late nights of work impact her sleep, Katyayani naps to offset the lost recovery that her body needs. She also cites reduced blood pressure as a physical benefit, contributing to reduced stress, both physical and mental. Naps help settle her anxious thoughts — right there with you, sister — and helps her tolerate frustration better and be less irritable (working on it…).
We salute you, Katyayani — we’d be glad to host your napping content here any time you like!
