15min Daily Drills: Prob/Stats + Algo/DS
tl;dr: For a period of 10 days starting from Wed 31 Dec - Sun 11 Jan, I will be running a 15min daily study group for Probability, Stats, Algorithm & Data Structures. Sign up here: https://luma.com/hdit-frontiers
Hey,
It has been ages since we last spoke.
Since the last Naive Bayesians Meetup, I've gotten married, moved 2 cities, and changed jobs.
If you joined Naive Bayesians, then you're like me. You like to get better at Probability, Stats, Algorithms & Data Structures.
Partly because it gets asked in job interviews. Partly because it keeps your mind sharp. Partly because it's fun to solve a problem.
Many of us here are working professionals. So finding time to work on these things consistently is HARD.
After many failed starts and stops, I've decided that something is better than nothing.
15mins/day of daily practice.
Using this technique over the Christmas break, I started working on connecting reinforcement learning and supervised learning in LLMs. It was something in the back of my mind for about a year, but I never made any solid progress.
It took more than 15 mins, but the daily structure gave me the momentum to complete it.
If you'd finally like to have some structure to practice Algo, Data Structures, Prob, & Stats, come join me for 15mins from Wed 31 Dec.
Each study group costs $1 (~80p) to attend.
Why? Because paying for something signals it's serious. Even if it's a small cost.
You can bring your own questions, or pick from the list I have prepared (can be found in the event description).
Time: 10pm - 10:15pm UK / 2pm - 2:15pm PT / 5pm - 5:15pm ET Location: Zoom What's needed: We'll just use this time to work through the question in silence.
