The Protector and the Annihilation is an upcoming LGBTQ+ epic science fantasy novel featuring 3 generations through 10,000 years, a not-so-queernormative "queernormative" world with a large cast of BIPOC and LGBTQ characters, and focus on several focal trans, MLM and WLW romances. The characters deal with generational trauma, power structures, and hold onto the likes of love.
When Armando makes a promise to his rival Ranvir, their far-off planet across the galaxy changes. Especially as children begin to drop in through time and push them to confront their past.
Eventually, they start having to look out for him.
Their son, Antonio, who waits in the future.
Those on Bluesky have been able to follow a long-term thread in which I complete the very final rereads and edits for The Protector and the Annihilation! (It's a casual thread.)
The Advanced Reader Copies of The Protector and the Annihilation will soon be available; early to mid-March is my estimate.
That means a 5-year path toward releasing this 800-page epic science fantasy novel is finally nearing its end in an official sense (as beta reader copies are often known to be rough, and mine certainly wound up that way), and its journey as a literal, bonafide novel has just about begun!
The "just about" is driving me a little bit cuckoo. As soon as I am assuredly done, I know I'll be released from something I've brought down on myself like summer rains, the way Antonio Chandrani-Rivera basically would.
It's been a lot of stress and took a lot of effort. I'm still finishing up the last stretch, AKA Part 2 of "The Protector and the Annihilation," of which I am here, currently:

Netgalley ARCs will be focal among ARC releases; when I'm ready for actual ARC release, I'll go into detail regarding this.
Taking this a day at a time, but being practically done with a very large project feels like something else, and I'm hoping people continue on with me toward all these new eras and unknowns!
