​Join us for a sound design workshop led by Rishi Krishnan (aka Sycobox), an electronic music producer and sound designer with over 8 years of experience creating EDM, dubstep, and experimental electronic music. With a focus on intricate sound design and pushing the boundaries of electronic music production, Rishi will dive into his creative process, exploring how experimentation, intuition, and sometimes just making weird noises can lead to unique and exciting sounds. From breaking down his own sound design techniques to embracing happy accidents, this workshop is all about having fun, thinking outside the box, and discovering your own creative approach to sound. No experience required!

Jeff walked us through a paper that looked at some of the patterns that AI Music Generation systems left and described a way we could catch and flag music from places like Suno & Udio.

The Nashville chapter for AES (Audio Engineering Society) is right around the corner! The section serves as a vibrant community hub for pro audio engineers, producers, mixing artists, and audio students. It gathers industry leaders, audio innovators, and technology exhibitors for technical paper presentations, live sound demonstrations, and gear showcases.

The Blueprint Zine :: Submissions open!

The blueprint (Tandon's creative art and writing zine) is looking for submissions in photography, music, literature (nonfiction or fiction).

The submissions are open to all NYU students. The deadline is Oct 31.

A cop stops a car for a routine check. Inside the car sits a man with four penguins. The cop asks the man 'wtf bro why do you have penguins in your car?" and bro replies "they don't like being home alone." the cop goes "but the penguins shouldn't rlly be here yk? you shoudl take them to a zoo!"

the man looks at him as if he has five eyes and promises to do so.

The next day the same cop stops the same man with the same four penguins (this time all wearing sunglasses). the cop, clearly pissed that he is experiencing deja vu irl happening again asked "didn't i tell you to take these penguins to the zoo?"

bro nods happily and said "i did it was great! today i'm taking them to the beach!"
