How much does a Big Mac cost? It turns out somewhere between $3.49 and $8.09 in the US, at least according to McCheapest. I absolutely would have expected variance nationally, but I did not anticipate how varied the prices are in a given metro. Here's Indianapolis, which ranges from $4.19 to $5.29.

I discovered Natural Habitat Shorts this week, who makes short cartoons about interesting phenomena in the animal kingdom. This one is my favorite so far, nominally about brood parasitism in cuckoos.
