24 hours of Earth's rotation is a video by Bartosz Wojczyński that fixes the camera on the sky instead of the horizon. All the commentary I come up with is trite, so...this is cool, go check it out. It's good art.

I was this many years old when I learned about the history and etymology of the humble ampersand (&). Apparently it was originally a visual representation of the Latin "et" (as in et cetera), and was the 27th letter of the English alphabet for some time.
Wikipedia has a bit more around the typographic evolution of the ampersand as well.
