I have a secret that I've been hiding from all of you — I love interesting mixes of retro gaming and modern tech. (What are you talking about? I've never heard of Awesome Controller.)
Needless to say, I was excited to see this article about a Kickstarter for a Super Smash Bros-style brawler on an original NES cartridge. They've integrated wifi chips into the cartridge to enable online play, including rollback netcode, which even the Nintendo Switch edition of Super Smash Bros does not offer. (Frustratingly.)
