Tony and I are big fans of Zach Gage games like Really Bad Chess, TypeShift, and Good Sudoku. So I was excited to see the release of Knotwords this week. It’s a combination of crosswords and sudoku, and it’s pretty fun! Tony and I played with the idea of combining crosswords with some other kind of puzzle about 6 months ago, and this is the kind of thing we were hoping to stumble on.
My favorite game dev tidbit so far - several release notes in a row included “reduced the app size.” Coincidentally, there is a fun little ~5-second rabbit animation every time you complete a puzzle. You can probably see where this is going:
