Grandpa guilty in heroin import plot

A 70-year-old grandfather has been deemed guilty, not gullible, after trying to import heroin hidden inside a camp bed frame. Barry James Calverley was carrying a green bag containing 48 packages of heroin concealed within the metal frame of a mosquito net bed. The court rejected his defence that he'd been duped.

Check If You're Missing Out on the Pension Supplement

Age Pension recipients automatically receive the Pension Supplement of around $70 fortnightly, but many don't realise they may also be eligible for additional supplements like the Remote Area Allowance or Telephone Allowance. Contact Services Australia to ensure you're receiving all the supplements you're entitled to, as they're not always automatically applied.
