Recipe of the Week Every Saturday we share a recipe worth trying. Anzac-Inspired Oat and Date SliceServes 12 · 35 minutes A delightful twist on the classic Anzac flavours that's perfect with a cuppa and easier to slice than traditional biscuits. 2 cups rolled oats, 1 cup plain flour, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup desiccated coconut, 1 cup chopped dates, 125g butter, 2 tbsp golden syrup, 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda, 2 tbsp boiling water Method 1. Preheat oven to 180°C and line a 20cm square tin with baking paper. 2. Combine oats, flour, sugar, coconut and dates in a large bowl. 3. Melt butter and golden syrup together in a saucepan. 4. Dissolve bicarbonate of soda in boiling water and add to butter mixture. 5. Pour wet ingredients over dry ingredients and mix well. 6.
