Body of missing grandfather recovered from outback floodwaters

The body of 65-year-old Tony Aspden has been found after he went missing in remote north-eastern South Australia on Saturday. The three-day search near Innamincka ended tragically after he was swept away in flood waters over the Easter long weekend.

Fuel costs blamed for quietest Easter on record at iconic roadhouse

The famous Pink Roadhouse had just two tourists stop by over the entire Easter weekend, a dramatic drop operators are blaming on skyrocketing fuel prices. The usual flow of travellers heading through the outback simply stayed home this year, creating one of the quietest holiday periods the iconic stop has ever seen.
