Hextra Hextra, read all about it!
(H)Extra Life 2022 is in the books, and thanks to viewers like you, we raised a whopping $5,164.34 for Beaumont Children's Hospital! I know, that number is big, so let's put it into context:
The first Extra Life we ever did with each other at The Orange Groves raised $1,500. The next was $2,200. It should be clear what we’re getting at here- with your support we have been able to outdo our past with a magnitude that I don’t think any of us would have ever believed. We exceeded our goal this year by $1,100. That’s frankly amazing. This is our highest single day charity stream, and our second highest fundraising stream overall.
Thank you all so much for this absurd gift of your time, your patronage, and your generosity during that stream. We look forward to sharing the next one with you.
We broke into the data a bit to pull up some FUN ANALYSIS. You sickos paid a whopping $750 dollars to kill a Pokemon. You also paid $847 to kill Riley by making them read One Piece - all of it before we even started streaming on Saturday! Andrew and Riley are working out how to turn that experience into something fun for you all. For our final bit of data, you paid $703 trying to turn the tides for people in Mario Party. Good luck next time, Seraph - maybe you’ll get the third party support you need. :)
$1,192 came from people who were either anonymous or that we didn't recognize, which is great! We'd love to increase that even further next year, so please continue telling your friends and family about Moonshot and our streaming events.
And one astounding fact from Accountant Marn:
- Moonshot has raised over TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS for charity since our network launched in April. And that's only counting the big event streams.
Just goes to show you, kids. The way they first got to the moon was by drafting up a plan, doing the prep, and then crossing their fuckin’ fingers. You don’t need to know for certain that it’ll work; you just gotta do it and trust in the people around you. Y'all have proven again and again that you are here to join us on this journey, and we are endlessly appreciative.
We hope you all had a great time at Hextra Life, because we sure did.

MOON WORK
this time since there was so much to talk about with Extra Life and you've got shit to do, but rest assured that as usual we are working on a bunch of cool things for you (including settling the Extra Life raffles) and let's get to the
MOON BOONS
In October, our Patrons received:
- Five early releases of Dead Teen House Party, our MTV’s Scream recap podcast.
- Two early releases of Champs in the Making, our Pokemon bracket podcast. These episodes feature Wheels, Riley, Roma, Juliet, a lot of grudge matches, and our dearly departed Gengar.
- One Saw (2004) episode of our Patreon exclusive Once Missed Wonders, where we watch classic movies for the first time.
- One episode of our Patreon exclusive Moon Reports, where Riley interviews Moonshot hosts about their history as creators. This month’s episode featured Moonshot co-founder Wheels of the equally Patreon-exclusive TOTAL DEPRAVITY (and previously Interstitial and Got It Memorized on The Orange Groves)!
And this month’s bonuses that are either already out or coming soon:
- One early release of Dead Teen House Party, which has finished MTV’s Scream. Marn and Neassa and Emma and Jacqueline will return in Dead Teen House Party: Infinity War probably the new year, with more teen slasher content!
- Two early releases of Champs in the Making with hosts Claudia and Jory.
- The Legally Blonde episode of Once Missed Wonders, featuring Jay and Wheels.
- And another episode of the Moon Reports, this time with Vida, frequent lovely streaming participant and o captain our captain in Sea of Thieves.
Doesn't that sound good? Don't you wish that was you? If all the free entertainment we make is worth a dollar a month to you, you can support us and get even more things that are worth a dollar a month to you, which means really you're making out pretty good on this deal.
Plus, when we reach 80 patrons we will livestream a SPECIAL CHAMPS IN THE MAKING EVENT where Moonshot hosts vote, rank, and argue their way through a bracket of every Neopet species! And at 100 patrons we will debut PARLIAMOONT, a regular Twitch show where a rotating cast of Moonshot creators rule on pop culture debates, collaboratively rank tier lists, fight over Champs-style brackets, and defend their problematic faves to a jury of their peers. You can get a taste of the Parliamoont’s energy in a special pilot stream on the evening of 11/22.
We also now have a Ko-Fi where you can make one-time donations instead of monthly or yearly ones!
That's it for November! Disappointed none of you sent pictures of all of your Moonshot promotional Halloween costumes. I hope you still showed up to people's doors and instead of saying “trick or treat” (old as dirt, played out) just rattled off the URL to your favorite Moonshot podcast.
Thank you all so much for your support, especially during Extra Life, but really at all times. You sure know how to make a podcast network feel welcome.
