RIP Graye
My dear Graye died last night. She was a wonderful friend. An occasional lover. One of the kindest, most generous people I know. An incredibly talented artist. A total goofball. A lover of movies of all shapes and sizes and qualities. When I saw her in June I got a chance to be a part of her life a little bit. When she came to visit, she got to be part of mine for a bit. I always said to myself that if she lived closer, I would've asked her to be my girlfriend. This was a cancer year. I know she fought really really hard. Big hearts to her partners Mergo and Dru and Michelle. You all deserve huge kindnesses for being there for her. I only got to be a small part of her world. But she meant the world to me. I can't believe that I'm not going to get a reply to a good morning text tomorrow. I'm glad that I got the mornings I did. I love you, Graye. You lived what anybody gets... You got a lifetime. No more. No less.
