Moon Memo: Somebody got married
Good morning from the bath tub, on a beautiful New Year's morning. This year dawned with me a married woman. It's true. Jade and I got married on Monday. Originally we had planned to get married later in January, and just not tell anyone. Keep it secret while we navigated a life where I needed insurance. But it seemed prudent to do it as soon as possible, and to share it with dear friends and loved ones. Katie Pryde was our officiant. Syri and Elodie were there as our official witnesses. Sabina was there, looking gorgeous in a short dress. Miryam was there, and Alana, and Bev crying in happiness, and Duncan and someone else. What a beautiful day. I'll share a picture below.
I never thought I'd get married again. I never thought I'd find somebody I'd wanna marry again. But here we are. Jade is just the most amazing human. I'm so glad that they wants to spend a life with me. I'm so grateful for them.
So that's the sweet. The bitter is that my job is done. I signed up for unemployment yesterday. I'm in that magic zone where I don't know what I'm going to be doing with myself. And that's fine. I kinda need a little bit of a Break. A time to gather myself and write and heal after all of this. 2024 was a very difficult year. Too many deaths too big of an election. I need to go into this year a little quieter.
