Summer is truly upon us in the Northern Hemisphere and with it, the news is slow. A calm before the Christmas storm.

Equipment

• Acaia release their new grinder

Pretty decent Weber EG1 dupe.

• Fellow launch a collaboration with Big Face (founded by Jimmy Bitler of the NBA)

Mostly this is just a celebrity branding operation for existing Fellow products but the Pelican case for Fellow equipment might be interesting for the right person.

• Barista Attitude launch a commercial single-boiler machine called The Pilot.

• The Ion Beam from Acaia goes on sale.

This is not a joke or a bit - I will buy an ion beam. Spraying coffee with water is now officially for people who don't own ion beams.

What do you mean you don't use an ion beam on your grinder setup?

They missed a trick not calling it an Ion Cannon. The nostalgia for Command and Control who have driven sales if you ask me.
