MOON BULLETIN - making little things for me and my friends
Last year I made this moon calendar and shared at beginning of the year moon parties; it’s been sweet to see it on friends’ walls and hear about it … a fav recent quote from someone at my roommate’s birthday brunch “Who makes these moon calendars, I keep seeing them?” That’s the vibe … making little things for me and my friends. Sharing in the joy of art and time and ritual and shared presence. Oooh baby! Anyways, I’ve made a 2026 moon calendar and — dare I say it — it’s even better than last year’s. I drew all these lil guys for each full moon through the year and tried to let them each have a bit of the moon’s personality.

If you’d like a copy to hang on your wall or gift your ex lover or whatever you want it for, send me a message, and you can either come pick it up from my place in park slope or come find me at the various events I’ll be hosting / attending such as:
🌓 Sidewalk Study on Homo Ludens in Bushwick: First Quarter (Wed Nov 26 @ 7pm). Alice and I are leading this study about play, in which we will be playful in the streets of Bushwick. Leave your irony at home! Free, RSVP for address.
🌓 Thankstaking Feast in Park Slope: First Quarter (Thu Nov 27 @ 2pm). My friend Keely calls it Thankstaking. I like that! Let’s not celebrate genocide… but we can still enjoy the abundance of tasty foods and loving kindness with each other. Anyways, this is a chill dinner/friendsgiving situation at my apartment. All are welcome, just prepare to bring a dish! Free.
🌓 Buy Nothing Day at Tompkins Sq Park: First Quarter (Fri Nov 28 @ 2pm). I’ve been wanting to see the spirit of Adbusters brought back to the city, and it’s happening! Fuck consumerism, fuck black friday, come relish in community (and a free store, so if you really need your consumption fix, it can be met) all afternoon in Tompkins. Free.
🌓 Community Acupuncture at Light & Sound Design: First Quarter (Fri Nov 28 @ 6pm). My first time getting acupuncture… and it’s happening at this delightful Greenpoint loft with some of the best sound + vibe combos in the city. Expect ambient music, dinner available to purchase, a brief acupuncture session, and (probably) me asleep in the corner. Free.
🌔 Monthly Molting: Ginkgo at Fort Greene Park: Waxing Gibbous (Sun Nov 30 @ 1pm). Join the Chimeras Collective to enjoy the final days of yellow ginkgo leaves blanketing the park. Also, learn about this ancient and spectacular tree, and maybe even make a ginkgo leaf craft (I have been reading a 400 page book about Ginkgos, so I’m itching to share some new facts…). Free.

🌕 Cold Moon Ritual in Prospect Park: Full Moon (Thu Dec 4 @ 8pm). Doing things a little differently this time… meet promptly at 8pm to journey into the forest where we will chant, dance, and more to honor the full moon. It’ll be cold, but I promise we’ll be moving to stay warm, and won’t be outside too long! Free.
🌕 Consumption Book Club at telos.haus: Full Moon (Fri Dec 5 @ 6pm). We pushed this back for the holidays, and are also offering discounted tickets for friends! Code FRIENDSTASTE for tasting menu at 35, and FRIENDSDRINKS for drink pairings at 50. Come enjoy a dinner of thoughtful literary discussion, delightful plates + drinks, and hopefully some new frames with which we can think about consuming. $35-50.
🌖 Pop-up Café in Park Slope: Waning Gibbous (Sun Dec 7 @ 1pm). Last pop-up café of the year! Come by my apartment, where the vibes will be cozy (theme is winter warmth), and we’ll have delightful treats prepared by myself, Mia, Swathi, Neeta, and Annie. Come hungry! Free.
🌖 Lidl Grand Opening in Park Slope: Waning Gibbous (Wed Dec 10 @ 8am). Perhaps my most American trait is my deep love for the supermarket experience. Lidl (German grocery store, famous for 49c croissants…) is opening right down the block from my apartment, and I’m unreasonably excited about it. Also I thought it would be funny to include this in the calendar. Free, but mass production always costs something...
