PRISMATIC SLANT - ISSUE #23 - What is to be done? Oct/Nov/Dec 2023
Dear Readers,
Its been three months since I last crafted a zine issue. And what a three months it has been. I wasn’t able to cover “all the things!” but I do think this issue covers ground that folks will find helpful, if not, at least thought-provoking.
“What is to be done?” a question gnawing at the corners of our brains and bodies as everything seems to get steadily more awful. I don’t have all the answers but I do share some thoughts that I have gathered from personal experience and people much wiser than I. There are lot of other questions in this issue, things to chew on, mull over, and hopefully they’ll lead to actionable steps in solidarity and a deepening of community ties and ecosystems of care.
I hope each one of you has found ways to remember the beauty and good in the world as we all fight collectively for a better world. I need to go start on the buttermilk biscuits, collards, and black-eyed peas for tonight’s communal dinner at my co-op. May the words, images, and ideas in this edition spur us all on to a sense of wholeness and alignment as we enter a new season.
